Pediatric Respirologist
Description:
Department of Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Centre in Canada is seeking a Pediatric Respirologist. The Health and Rehabilitation Centre is a 71 bed tertiary care referral hospital. It has an active Pediatric Residency Program affiliated with a Faculty of Medicine. Most pediatric sub-specialties are represented. The primary clinical work will involve the medical care of children with cystic fibrosis in both in-patient and out-patient multidisciplinary settings and will liaise with the Canadian CF Foundation. Other duties will include clinics and consultative services for children with complex respiratory problems. It is expected that the successful candidate will be prepared to perform bronchoscopies on a regular and as needed basis and the interpretation of pulmonary function tests.
The successful candidate will have completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Respirology at a recognized institution and will be eligible for medical licensure in the Province. The applicant will participate in teaching of medical students and residents with opportunity for clinical or basic science research. The successful candidate will have an appropriate salary and academic rank the university commensurate with qualifications. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
