Description:
Anesthesiologist required to work in a district in Nova Scotia serving approximately 130,000 people
through acute care, continuing care, Mental Health
Services, Addiction Services, Public Health Services
and the Regional Cancer Centre. As a major surgical
centre in Atlantic Canada, the District
has eight operating rooms that function daily and handle a workload that includes both general and specialty surgery, with the exception of open heart surgery. Orthopedic, Chest, Plastics and major Vascular are among the types of surgery performed in the District. The surgical department also works closely with and supports the acute and chronic pain services in the District.
